Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, responsible for establishing and managing Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya’s (JNVs) across the country. Established in 1985, NVS aims to provide quality education to talented children from rural areas, irrespective of their socio-economic background. JNVs are residential schools affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and offer education from Class VI to Class XII. NVS selects students through a national-level entrance examination called the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). NVS plays a crucial role in promoting excellence in education and nurturing talent among rural students in India.
